Kripalu Yoga

Kripalu Yoga emphasizes proper breathing and alignment.

Kripalu means compassion which encourages  you to listen your own body and work within your individual strengths and degree of flexibility.

Yoga encourages the simultaneous development of mind, body and spirit, bringing you into balance and harmony. Through regular practice, you progress naturally to a more deeply integrated understanding of your inner self.

Physically, you improve muscle tone, gain strength and flexibility, improve balance, help reduce harmful toxins, and increase your overall energy level.

Mentally, you feel less stressed, sleep better and have a slower reaction time to difficult situations.

Spiritually, you benefit from periods of meditation which allows space for integration of your yoga practice into your mind and body.

Altogether, you enjoy a calmer demeanor and gain perspective in navigating your life's journey.

Kripalu yoga is suitable for all ages and levels.

"Eight years ago my sister persuaded me to go, somewhat reluctantly, to attend a yoga class taught by Saralee. I didn’t want to go, I was a bundle of anxiety, stiff and sore and quite sure I wouldn’t be “good” at it. That first class was an eye-opener: Saralee’s gentle and non-judgemental approach made me feel comfortable and welcome. I felt very lucky to have found such a kind, patient and knowledgeable instructor. I have learned so much in the class that I take with me every day, I stand taller, I know how to breathe, I am more flexible and body aware, and I am a great deal less anxious than I used to be.

Thanks Saralee!!"  – S.B., North York
